Listed below are the carnivals/competitions that the Broken Hill Swimming Club regularly attends each year.
For more information please contact the 2007/2008 Carnival Secretaries: Helen Theoharidis and Lee Toigo
This season the carnivals are:
Family weekend with races for all ages and abilities, including parent swimmer relays, (not compulsory) as well as mature age events.
Alternating age divisions, for example, 10/11yrs on the first day, then, 9/10yrs & 11/12yrs on the second day
Travel on Friday 7th December and then return on Monday 10th December.
This carnival is more focused on competition, but enables children to test their ability in a 50m pool.
This carnival is another great family weekend, parents are off the hook with no relay participation required. Children compete in alternating age divisions.
This is carnival is a 2 day Open Event which has a twilight start on the 29th (about 3.30pm from memory). This carnival has proven in the past to provide our swimmers with great experiences. On day 1 there are 50m sprints with longer events occurring on Day 2. This carnival is a 'strong' carnival and is usually very well attended by many Victorian clubs. In the past, this carnival has provided excellent competition for all swimmers, especially those wanting to compete at SA Country Champs.
This competition starts at 11/U through to Open.
Qualifying times must be attained to enter.
Children wishing to compete in this competition will need to discuss this with their coach.

Qualifying times must be attained to enter.
Children wishing to compete in this competition will need to discuss this with their coach.
